Mael Kubli

Developer @ DigDemLab

University of Zurich

My name is Maël Kubli, a Political Science PhD Student at the University of Zurich, engaging in the realms of digital democracy and computational social science. I am currently a Developer for the Digital Democracy Lab and a contributor to the PRODIGI project, furthering the understanding of digital technologies’ impact on democracy and political processes.

My research delves into the nuances of digitalization, focusing on its emergence as a political issue and its framing in various contexts. I am also intrigued by the capabilities of Large Language Models within political science. I explore how digitalization is portrayed in political discourse, and its implications on policy debates and public opinion. My collaborative work has enabled me to investigate digital political communication, such as content moderation practices around high-profile figures and the role of social media in political agenda-setting
